Common Puja Samagri for Home Puja
Puja samagri depends on the type of ritual, family tradition, region, and Pandit guidance. However, many home pujas use a few common items such as diya, ghee or oil, incense, camphor, flowers, fruits, roli, rice, haldi, kumkum, kalash, coconut, betel leaves, betel nuts, sweets, prasad items, and a clean puja cloth. Preparing these items in advance can make the puja experience more peaceful and organized.
Pujieo is being built to help devotees understand puja requirements, connect with verified Pandits, and receive guidance around samagri and preparation. The aim is to reduce last-minute confusion while preserving the respect and authenticity of traditional rituals.
Basic Checklist
- Diya, ghee or oil, cotton wicks, incense, camphor, and matchbox.
- Flowers, garland, fruits, sweets, prasad ingredients, and clean water.
- Roli, rice, haldi, kumkum, sandalwood paste, kalawa, and janeu where required.

Samagri for Specific Pujas
Griha Pravesh may need kalash, coconut, havan items, and Vastu-related preparation. Satyanarayan Puja may need katha-related items, panchamrit, fruits, sweets, and prasad ingredients. Rudra Abhishek may need milk, curd, honey, ghee, gangajal, and bel leaves. Laxmi Puja may need diyas, lotus, flowers, sweets, coins, and prosperity-related offerings.
Use Pandit Guidance
A checklist is helpful, but the final samagri should be confirmed with the Pandit performing the puja. Traditions can vary, and some families follow specific customs. Pujieo plans to make this coordination easier through samagri assistance and devotional support after launch.
